You don't need a huge audience to be successful; just enough people who are interested in your products. With an average order value of $90, it doesn't take a lot of sales to make $100k per month. Unlike AdSense, where you need a lot of people to make money, YouTube focuses too much on going viral. Having a small view count can hurt the ego, but it doesn't matter because YouTube is a more effective business.
