Individuals with secure attachment had reliable caregivers or mentors who showed consistent love and trust, enabling them to thrive in relationships without fearing being alone. They have a positive self-image, don't rely on others' approval, and view themselves and others positively. Research indicates that most people who experienced trauma in childhood grow up to become securely attached adults. In contrast, those with an anxious attachment style see their partners as their better half, experience relationship anxiety, especially in the early stages.
