NOTE

Breath work and the respiratory sinus arithmia

Breath work is a manual override for your autonomic nervous system. When you control your breathing, your heart rate adjusts to match. Inhaling increases heart rate to deliver oxygen-filled blood, while exhaling slows it down. This is known as the respiratory sinus arrhythmia. Normally, our body adjusts our breathing automatically based on oxygen needs, but we can consciously slow it down to reset our heart rate and create variability. It's like a manual power reset.
