The gene mutation known as the motherfucker gene affects 40 to 60% of the population and impairs the conversion of folic acid into the usable form of methylfolate. Folic acid, a manmade chemical, is sprayed on various food products like greens, flour, rice, and bread. However, 44% of the population with this gene mutation cannot convert folic acid into usable nutrients.
