The Obvious Reasons to Use Lactate
Lactate is a good tool to see how the adaptation is occurring and then you would adjust the training accordingly so instead of waiting on the race they would get the answer. that plan and then as you get into race this is when you get to answer whether the training worked or not. There are many caveats to this as well but the benefit of it when you really understand all the mechanisms that are influencing lactate and there are plenty and you are able to compensate for this then you can use lactate more effectively.
