NOTE

Balancing Busyness and Idleness

People tend to overcorrect and fill their schedules with activities because they are more afraid of idleness than busyness. Idleness is perceived as more miserable as it triggers the brain's default mode network leading to rumination. To avoid over-scheduling, it's essential to embrace some idle time and limit commitments to around three or four per day, allowing for creativity and productivity in between scheduled activities.
