**How Focusing on Sensation (and interpreting) Takes us Further from Reality **
Realities are often shaped by present sensations rather than external narratives or catastrophic thoughts. Being aware of current sensations, such as feeling the wind or breathing, allows individuals to ground themselves in the moment, regardless of other difficulties. Mental health hinges on recognizing the difference between actual reality and the stories our minds create. Many times, fears and anxieties stem from personal interpretations rather than facts. Believing these thoughts can distort perceptions of reality, leading to unnecessary emotional turmoil. It is crucial to discern genuine experiences from imagined threats, emphasizing the importance of mindfulness in navigating mental well-being.
