The concept of self signaling in psychology suggests that our behavior signals the kind of person we think we are and we judge ourselves based on our behavior. All behavior is addictive, meaning that whatever behavior we engage in, we want more of it. For example, if we scroll through Facebook on our smartphones, we become more likely to want that behavior in the future. Similarly, if we start investing money, even a small amount, we start wanting to do more of it. Not only does every behavior create more of itself, but it also creates an expanded version of itself.
