Daily magnesium intake plays a crucial role in bone, brain, and immune system health. While the recommended intake was previously 3 to 5 grams a day, with aging, the focus on bone and brain health has led to revised calculations. Now, it is suggested that around 8 to 10 grams are beneficial for bone health and around 20 grams or more for longer-term brain health.
