NOTE

Choose Generosity in Interpretation

In the pursuit of understanding behavior, one should prioritize action over mere contemplation. It is essential to differentiate between identity and behavior, recognizing the inherent goodness within individuals. To implement this understanding in daily life and relationships, one can adopt the practice of the Most Generous Interpretation (MGI). This approach encourages viewing the actions of others—including children, colleagues, and teammates—in a positive light, counteracting the natural tendency to assume the least generous interpretation (LGI) of their behaviors. By consciously choosing generosity in interpretation, deeper connection and understanding can flourish.
