If you're a recreational runner and you love running, just mix it up. Don't feel like you've got to run a 5k every day, right? And there's two things I often see runners really struggle with: walking down a balance beam and deep squatting. If you can't touch your toes effortlessly, and if you can't balance on one foot for about 20 seconds eyes open and 10 seconds eyes closed, then do whatever you got to do to get those things before you worry about running. You know, that's the fundamental message of what we try to tell everybody, right? Doesn't mean you can't go running this week. Hey, but maybe not running today
