Most people think they know how a bicycle works until they are asked to draw one. A study showed that many people struggle to accurately depict a bicycle's components. While it's easy to determine if you know the capital of France, understanding how a bicycle works involves more complexity. Knowing how to ride a bicycle or recognizing it as a means of transportation doesn't necessarily mean you can draw one or explain its inner workings.
