NOTE

Exploring Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction

Blood flow enhancers like Viagra and Cialis can resolve 60 to 70% of erectile dysfunction cases. In cases where these drugs are not effective, other treatments like urethral suppository or penile injections can be prescribed. Urethral suppository involves inserting medication into the tip of the penis, which is safe for partners but can cause slight tingling. Penile injections, with an efficacy rate of 80 to 90%, involve injecting vasodilators directly into the erectile bodies of the penis to facilitate easier blood flow for erections. While there may be a psychological barrier to penile injections, they are administered as an on-demand treatment, with patients being taught how to self-administer at home and adjust the dosage to achieve the desired erection time of 20 to 30 minutes.
