Every decision has an opportunity cost, and holding onto things out of sunk cost fallacy prevents one from being available to other opportunities. Finishing tasks, staying in toxic relationships, or holding onto things to justify past investment comes at the cost of not being available for potential opportunities. Letting go of sunk costs frees one from paying the cost and opens up opportunities for freedom.
