NOTE

Hinneman Size Principle and Muscle Fiber Recruitment

The hinneman size principle states that during exercise, type one motor units are recruited first, followed by type two units as needed. Heavy weights quickly recruit type two units, while lighter weights recruit them gradually. Failure in lifting heavy weights occurs when type two motor units exhaust quickly. Even in low-load exercises, both type one and type two muscle fibers grow, regardless of blood flow restrictions.
