Understanding Adverse Events in Fasting
Adverse events in fasting predominantly consist of normal symptoms like nausea, headache, and dizziness. Medically significant events are mainly hypertensive crises due to fluctuations in blood pressure during fasting. Category five events (death) are rare, and category four events (such as hyponatremia) are easily resolved by breaking the fast.
