The Pros and Cons of Fast Change in American History
History shows that fast change is often more successful than slow change. However, the problem arises when people become complacent after the change has worked well. This pattern can be seen throughout American history, such as in the Great Cattle Period when the rush for cattle quickly depleted the resources, leading to a devastating winter. The rangers initially turned to the federal government for help, but once the situation improved, they resumed their abusive practices. This cycle repeats itself in American history.
