Optimizing Deep Sleep Patterns

Factors that can decrease the amount of deep sleep include caffeine consumption, particularly in the first hours of the night, and exposure to light in the evening which can disrupt deep sleep brainwaves. Stress and anxiety are significant factors that can negatively impact deep sleep patterns. To enhance deep sleep, prioritize creating a dark sleep environment with blackout curtains and eye masks to avoid light exposure in the bedroom. By being mindful of these factors, individuals can facilitate an increase in the quality and duration of deep sleep.
