Circadian Rhythms and Muscle Strength

Muscle strength peaks later in the day, around 4-5 in the afternoon, due to the body's circadian rhythms. As we age, it is uncertain if the day-night difference in muscle strength diminishes. The circadian clock in cells also regulates genes at different times, impacting physiology significantly beyond time-keeping by touching different sets of genes at different times of the day.
