Using a Trigger word to Manage Emotions
A coach used a special word, 'blindfold', to help a player control his emotions during games. When the player was struggling, the coach would say 'blindfold' and it would reset him. This tactic had a success rate of around 70%. The coach also mentioned that group feedback sometimes changes their practice plans.
