Imagination is more important than knowledge. People often assume their future self is the same as their present self. By recognizing the potential for a vastly different future self and emotionally connecting with it, we can let the future dictate our actions in the present. This leads to a nonlinear and transformative present, separate from our past self. It's important to have empathy, compassion, and love for our past self.
