Optimal Timing for Carbohydrate Intake for Runners
For most runners, it is not essential to consume carbohydrates immediately after a morning run if the next run is scheduled for the following day. It is acceptable to wait for an hour or two before consuming carbohydrates. However, it is not recommended to delay carbohydrate intake significantly after a morning run, especially if the next run is scheduled for the same day. While it is important to plan carbohydrate intake strategically, missing one meal is not catastrophic as the body is generally forgiving in such situations.
