The Unrealistic Picture of Human Decision Making
Human decision-making is not always a straightforward process where logical reasoning leads directly to action. Even when individuals understand the ethical importance of a particular choice, such as adopting vegetarianism for its ethical superiority, they may not immediately act on this knowledge. This failure to instantaneously change behavior doesn't necessarily indicate a flaw in their moral reasoning but rather reflects the complexity of human decision-making. The expectation that individuals should swiftly align their actions with their understanding oversimplifies the intricate workings of the human mind.
