Barriers to Achieving AGI and the Importance of AI Community Collaboration
AGI still faces several barriers before becoming a reality. Breakthroughs in research, scaling up existing models, and having its own goals are key challenges. True intelligence involves more than predicting tokens. AI needs to set its own goals and be financially productive to be considered truly intelligent. The AI community should prioritize open dialogue about real risks without exaggerating sci-fi scenarios. In 10 years, AI will play an even larger role in society.
