Reimagining Time Off and Reshaping Breaks for Rest and Well-being
Shashank Nizham, founder and CEO of Simplithlying, implemented a mandatory vacation policy where his team members take a week off every seven weeks. If they work during their week off, their pay will be docked. This approach aims to address the problem of employees not taking enough vacation and not effectively resting. While unlimited vacation policies convey trust, they often lead to fewer vacation days being taken due to peer pressure and fear of looking like a slacker. It's time to reimagine our approach to time off and prioritize rest for better well-being and performance.
