I didn't plan to work in ads, but my career at DoorDash allowed me to work on various problems like recommender systems, experimentation, and pricing optimization. Through exploration, I discovered the types of projects I enjoyed. College is a great place to explore different areas with low risk, but doing too much exploration may hinder career growth. It's important to find a balance between exploration and specialization. Personally, I found a passion for supply demand forecasting at DoorDash.
