Stress makes falling asleep harder, especially when you spiral. In August, members participated in a challenge to boost heart variability, circadian rhythms, and focus. Journal engagement increased, allowing us to track individual and group changes in heart rate. The top four activities were breath work, morning sunlight, intermittent fasting, and cardiac exercises. Breath work has a powerful impact on heart variability as it acts as a manual override for the autonomic nervous system.
