The Impact of Dairy, French Fries, and Nuts on Cellular Aging
Consuming high fat milk is associated with increased biological aging due to saturated fat triggering an inflammatory response. French fries and potato chips are linked to shorter telomeres. However, nuts and seeds, which are packed with antioxidants, have been found to reduce biologic aging. A study showed that consuming one or two ounces of walnuts a day for two years helped maintain telomere length. While the difference didn't reach statistical significance for average telomere length, the walnut group had fewer particularly short telomeres, indicating a potential delay in senescence.
