The Politics of Loneliness
Loneliness in America is prevalent, with one in every two Americans experiencing measurable levels of loneliness. Surprisingly, lonely people are seven times more likely to be active in politics than non-lonely people. Politics has become a form of social therapy for the lonely, providing a sense of community and moral action. However, these are just illusions as politics doesn't truly offer community, moral guidance, or social action.
