To come up with creative ideas, you need to unleash every possible thought and then trick yourself into generating more ideas by exploring different perspectives such as the worst ad to make, the ad your hero would make, or what you would do if the laws of physics were not in place. You need to push yourself to extract all the raw material, and with experience, you'll learn to sift through it. Initially, a creative director guides you, then you learn to work through it yourself, and ultimately, you can independently generate ideas.
