Theory of Satisfiers vs. Maximizers in Decision Making
There are two types of decision makers: satisfies and maximizers. Satisfiers are happy with a good enough solution that meets their criteria, while maximizers strive for the best possible outcome but often struggle with indecisiveness. Research shows that satisfies are happier and less impulsive. To overcome chronic indecisiveness, it's recommended to shift from being a maximizer to a satisfier and narrow down options using chunking.
