Looping for Understanding in Difficult Conversations

In tense conversations, using a technique called looping for understanding proves to the other person that you genuinely want to hear and understand them. The technique involves three steps: asking a deep question, repeating back what you heard in your own words, and asking the other person if you interpreted it correctly. This method helps to show the other person that you are actively listening and genuinely trying to connect, even in situations of disagreement.
