Teaching ethics is essential, but it needs a supportive community. The current society lacks community, leading to sadness, alienation, and rudeness. The root cause is the lack of training on kindness and consideration. Simply adding churches, boys and girls clubs, and humanist curriculums may not be enough to counter economic and social forces.
