The Nipa Virus in Kerala

Hugo and his colleagues discovered that diamonds were spewed out when Nuna broke apart 500 million years ago. This volcanic eruption of diamonds happened when the sub continents collided. In another story, an outbreak of the Nipa virus is causing concerns in southern India. Fruit bats are the primary host of this virus that jumps from animals to humans. It has the potential to cause severe respiratory problems and even brain swelling.
