Interpreting Nonverbal Cues
Differentiating between higher blink rates as stress indicators and indicators of flirtation or arousal can be challenging. Context plays a crucial role in deciphering nonverbal cues, such as nostril flaring, pupil dilation, and finger movements like digital flexion or extension. Digital flexion, curling fingers, can indicate preemptive disagreement, while digital extension, flattening the hand, suggests relaxation and potential agreement. These nonverbal indicators, along with eye movements, provide valuable insights during conversations.
