Aligning talent and values in hiring

Our hiring philosophy is like an XY graph, with talent on one end and values on the other. We easily reject those with low talent and low values, and readily hire those with high talent and high values. We may make exceptions for those with high values but low talent if they show potential. However, we avoid hiring those with low values but high talent, unless it's for temporary work. We acknowledge that not every company has the luxury of choosing between low talent and high values. Ultimately, we believe that low values are more destructive than low talent, although it can be confusing when low talent is connected to values.
