Overconsumption of food leads to excess glucose being converted into fat by the liver. This fat accumulation causes insulin resistance in the liver, which results in increased glucose production. The pancreas responds by releasing more insulin to manage rising glucose levels. However, elevated insulin further accelerates the conversion of glucose into fat, initiating a harmful cycle that progressively heightens glucose levels.
