Emotional responses such as anger can serve as a mechanism to distance oneself from feelings of fear and overwhelm, often providing a temporary relief from depression. Indicators of such emotional turmoil include fantasies of success, romantic obsessions, and patterns of avoidance, such as withdrawing from relationships or failing to make future commitments. Mini avoidance behaviors manifest as poor communication and flaky plans. The desire to control others stems from a perceived need to alleviate one's own discomfort, often driven by fear, which can lead to conflict, especially in relational dynamics. Recognizing these patterns is crucial for addressing underlying emotional issues.
We now know there's an underlying trauma symptom that drives almost all the others: Neurological dysregulation. And until you learn to notice it and get re-regulated, it can hold you back and complicate every part of your life. In this four-video compilation I share four of my most popular videos on dysregulation.
