The Importance of Discomfort and Dulling the Edge
Discomfort and suffering serve as catalysts for change in our lives. The discomfort we feel pushes us to make changes and move forward, whether it's leaving a toxic friendship or changing jobs. The edge of discomfort exists to prevent us from staying in a state of discomfort and to prompt us to make difficult decisions. It is a gift that points us in the direction of change. However, when we continuously dull that edge, we remain stuck. There are healthy ways to dull the edge, such as getting enough sleep, going for a walk, or reaching out to loved ones.
