How Polis Works In Practice

The Polis method involves addressing difficult policy issues where no consensus exists by crowdsourcing related sub-questions and opinions. Different clusters of opinions emerge with some broad agreements that have widespread support across diverse groups. To reach consensus, stakeholders are presented with these broad agreements and asked for concrete items needed to implement them. Any stakeholder opposing the norm faces social trust consequences. Implementing the consensus usually involves technical and compensation considerations to align with the broad agreements, ensuring alignment with the cross-cluster agenda.
