Money's relationship with happiness is complex. While having more money generally leads to greater happiness by providing comfort, opportunities, and relief from adversity, the pursuit of money can lead to unhappiness. Materialism and the relentless pursuit of wealth, power, beauty, or fame are not conducive to overall happiness, as these are extrinsic goals that do not inherently bring joy. Therefore, while money is important for happiness, being overly focused on it can lead to dissatisfaction.
