The study suggests that people tend to stop being present around the age of five or six. Being present is a lifelong study and can be observed through indicators such as being in tune with one's breath and body, managing emotional reactions with a sense of heart, and quieting the inner dialogue. The more present we are, the more we can access our resources, and we can learn to be present by bringing attention to these indicators.
