The thinking on change changes as you rise
Starting from the bottom of the pyramid, working your way up to the top of a big organization may seem like the ultimate achievement. However, there is an invisible inverted pyramid above that consists of the board of directors, capital markets, media, customers, suppliers, the NGO community, and the CEO and chair community. These stakeholders have a relationship with the CEO and play a crucial role in the organization. This realization brings the responsibility to not only bring change within the organization but also in the entire system. This broader responsibility weighs heavily on top role leaders.
