Identity is primarily shaped by choices and actions, allowing individuals to assert themselves in the world. In contrast, certain aspects of identity often labeled as identity politics are beyond our control, leaving individuals vulnerable and associated with passivity. Viewing identity solely through the lens of victimhood diminishes personal agency and fosters an unempowered perspective.
