Emotions play a crucial role in impacting attentional capacity, decision making, and relationships. Even though emotions have a clear impact on perception, individuals tend to deny this influence to maintain a sense of control and free will. Emotions also serve as signals to approach or avoid in relationships, demonstrated through facial expressions and interactions with others.
