Is a Computer Conscious?
The chance that a silicon computer will be conscious is just about the same as the chance that my computer will pee on my desk if I run an accurate simulation of kidney function on it. To me, this is a form of belief. It's entirely arbitrary to say that at that level, the similarity is defining and that all preceding levels don't matter. Although they show profound dissimilarities that those don't matters.
