Necropolitics: Dehumanization and Violence

The concept of necropolitics involves establishing a norm for proper social behavior and systematically putting to death those who do not comply. This is demonstrated in the case of Palestinian people who are dehumanized and their lives reduced to nothing in order to justify continual violence and control by Israeli forces. The Palestinian people are held under constant surveillance and control, unable to engage in political life, and their lives are regarded as mere statistics.
