Extreme Volumes, Extreme Gains? (Part 2)

The Stronger By Science Podcast

NOTE

Acceptance of Suboptimal Outcomes

Embracing the idea of not always pursuing maximal outcomes is acceptable. In various aspects of life, including fitness, it is common not to maximize results in every single domain. It is perfectly fine to focus on achieving decent outcomes in multiple areas rather than striving for perfection. In the gym, it is acceptable to have a moderate approach to lifting weights and not aim for maximum gains. Training with lower volumes can still yield significant growth, capturing about 90% of the potential gains compared to high-volume training. Leaving some gains on the table does not make a person inadequate or unsuccessful; it is completely acceptable.
