The Informal Nature of Mentoring Relationships
Mentorship relationships do not always require a formal label and can be informally agreed upon based on mutual understanding. An individual can designate mentors by expressing their admiration and trust, or by directly asking for mentorship and discussing their expectations. The commitment level of the mentor can vary based on these informal conversations. It is not necessary for a mentor to be from the same organization or share similar characteristics, but rather crucial for them to comprehend the mentee's working context in order to provide tailored advice for successful execution.
