How Do You Read a Book a Week?

Re-reading may give a false sense of knowledge; testing oneself through recall is more effective. Recognition and recollection have different levels of understanding. Active recollection, through asking questions and quizzing oneself, enhances comprehension. Avoid cramming as focus declines after 25-30 minutes. Use the Pomodoro Technique to set regular breaks. Movement, deep breathing, and hydration during breaks are beneficial for the brain. Cramming diminishes returns and ignores the primacy and recency effects in memory. Taking breaks helps retain information from the beginning and end of study sessions.
